Couriers often call or text the customer before delivery. This rule makes sure the shipping phone number starts with the dial code of the shipping country, for example +44 for the United Kingdom.

What it checks

The rule takes the phone number from the shipping address, removes spaces and symbols, and checks that it starts with the dial code of the shipping country. The message appears next to the phone field in the contact section. The rule doesn’t block checkout when:
  • The shipping address has no phone number.
  • The shipping country isn’t in the list below.
Customers must enter the phone number with its country code. A local number such as 020 7946 0958 (without +44) is blocked for the United Kingdom.
