Shipping labels and carrier systems often only accept the Latin alphabet. This rule blocks checkout when a field you choose contains characters outside it.

Fields you can check

Click the Apply fields box to open the list, then tick the fields you want:
  • Address line 1
  • Address line 2
  • City
  • Company
The message appears next to each field that has a problem.

Allow Extended Latin Characters

This option changes how strict the rule is.
Only basic English letters, numbers and common symbols are allowed. Accented letters like é, ñ or ü are blocked.
If you sell in Europe or Latin America, turn Allow Extended Latin Characters on, so customers can type their address with accents.
